학부생은 4책까지 빌릴 수 있습니다.

 

Undergraduates are allowed to borrow four books.

대출기한은 10일입니다.

 

The lending period is for ten days.

 

 

 

만일 10일을 넘기면 어떻게 되지요?

 

What happens if I return my books late?

연체한 일수만큼 대출할 수 없습니다. 그러니까 3일 연체했다면 3일 동안 대출중지가 됩니다.

 

If you return them late, then for the same number of days that they are late you won't be able to borrow any other materials.  For example, if the books are three days late you won't be allowed to borrow any books for three days.

 

 

 

4책 다 연체하면 어떻게 되지요?

 

What if all four volumes are late?

그 중에서 가장 오래된 기간을 대출중지 기간으로 합니다.

 

The penalty period is for the same length of time as the most overdue book is late.

 

 

 

돈으로 변상하면 안되나요?

 

Isn't there any kind of financial penalty?

대출중지제도가 시작되기 전에 빌린 책인 경우에는 하루에 50원씩 연체료를 부과합니다. (연체자에 대한 징계조치가 최근 변경되었음)    

 

Yes.  But only if you borrowed those books when the penalty system was in place.  The fine is 50 Won per day per book.

 

 

 

오래 반납을 안 하면 어떻게 되지요?

 

What if they aren't returned for a really long time?

각종 증명서를 발급 받을 수 없습니다.

 

 In that case, a restrictiton will be placed on your university transcripts, certificates and the like.
